Visual Studio 2022
Can we expect an update to support Visual Studio 2022 in the near future?

Hi Aaron,
Thank you for reaching out. Support for Visual Studio 2022 will be available in Vault 11. I don't have an official release date yet but we will be updating our website with information as soon as it becomes available.
Thanks,
Tonya

Re: Visual Studio 2022
Any news on this front?
Our inability to utilize Visual Studio 2022 due to a lack of Vault support is really beginning to hinder our development efforts for 2022.

Hi Aaron,
We have a special pre-release build that we are providing to our customers who are current or have maintenance. If you are interested in obtaining this build, please email support@sourceagear.com and we'll provide you with a link.
Thanks,

Re: Visual Studio 2022
Any update on a release date? It's been 4 months since Visual Studio 2022 was released.
I'm not too keen on using a pre-release product for production development.
It's been almost 2 years since SourceGear released an update for Vault, is this product being retired?
Should we be looking at alternatives?
I understand it's been a trying couple of years for everyone with the pandemic, but the lack of information is a bit concerning.

Hello,
Vault 10.2 is complete and is in test mode. The official release date has not yet been decided. I would expect it to be available in the upcoming weeks, sooner than later (likely within 2 but not definite). An announcement will be made on our website.
Thanks,
Tonya

Re: Visual Studio 2022
Is the Visual Studio Classic Client no longer supported in Visual Studio 2022?

Re: Visual Studio 2022
That is correct. Visual Studio 2022 is a true 64-bit app, and the Vault Classic Client is based on Microsoft's Source Code Control Interface (MSSCCI), a 32-bit solution. The Vault Classic Client still works with Visual Studio 2017/Visual Studio 2019, the last of the 32-bit Visual Studios.
At this point in time, we need to investigate if Microsoft has a migration path to 64-bit.

Re: Visual Studio 2022
Jeff, we had a discussion about a 64-bit MSSCCI implementation in the past. You (Tonya) confirmed that a 64-bit MSSCCI-Provider for Vault is planned for Vault 11.jclausius wrote: ↑Wed Apr 06, 2022 8:34 amThat is correct. If Vault 11 is still in the unforeseeable future, supporting Visual Studio 2022 with the Classic Integration (MSSCCI) would be another case for releasing a 64bit implementation of the Vault MSSCCI client before Vault 11 is ready. - I suggested that in the past.
What about skipping the investigation, opening your MSSCCI-DLL solution file instead, and just recompiling for 64bit?
(And this is only half tongue-in-cheek.)
Re: Visual Studio 2022
What is the status of the 64bit library?
We have a substantial Visual Studio Extension using MSSCCI to access SGV 10.
We are in the process of moving the extension to VS 2022.
Is there a 64-bit version of the MSSCCI library? If not, what are our options for accessing SGV 10 from a 64-bit extension?
Thanks, David
(I posted this under "64Bit library for MSSCCI-API" as well, since the 64-bit issues seems to be being raised there as well.)

Re: Visual Studio 2022
As of right now, Vault 11 has been delayed but we may incorporate the 64-bit library into a Vault 10.x build. When I have more information, I will provide an update on this thread.
Thank you for the feedback.
