1136 - Item listed in wrong milestone for Open list

I have the following milestones setup:

Version 0.9.1
Version 0.9.2
Version 0.9.3
Version 0.9.4
Version 0.9.5
Version 1.0.0
Version 1.1.0

All are listed correctly in order on the Project Admin tab. I've entered bugs for 0.9.1, 0.9.2, 1.0.0, and 1.1.0. All the bugs show the correct milestone in their detail views. The Query search collects the correct bugs for each milestone.

However, in the Open and My Open views, the 1.0.0 items are listed under the 1.1.0 milestone heading and there is no milestone 1.0.0 listing.

I've been using this for a couple weeks now, and this is the only flaw I've found.

I'm running on Windows 2003 with MSDE and IIS 6. I've not integrated with Vault.

Correct, on the Project Admin tab, the last two 1.0.0 and 1.1.0 are listed in reverse order.

What are the dates for the two milestones? Are the goal dates the same for Milestone 1.0.0 and milestone 1.1.0?

We have seen that behavoir when the milestone goal dates are the same.

Doh. Yes they were the same. I've changed the 1.1.0 one and all is well now. Thanks.

I just got caught out by the same behaviour. If you have a load of different milestones, with the dates for some of them chosen arbitrarily, then it's quite easy accidentally to make one or more fall on the same date as another.

Dragnet's behaviour is confusing: just because two milestone happen to fall on the same date, it doesn't mean that they should be merged when I select 'Open'

Seems to me that the 'Doh' should be Dragnet's, not the user's.

We do currently have this logged as a bug in Dragnet.

Until it is fixed the workaround would be to make sure your milestone goal dates are all different.
