Hi,
sometimes the Vault GUI doesn't start at all.
There are mainly two scenarios:
First:
1. Run Vault GUI
2. No splash screen or window appears at all
3. VaultGUI.exe is running as you can see in task manager
Second:
1. Run Vault GUI
2. The main window appears and shows the splash screen
3. The splash screen never disappears.
Unfortunately with face this problem more and more often. Sometimes a simple reboot helped to solve the problem. Sometimes we needed to reinstall vault.
How can we track this problem down more closely? Is there a log file?

Did you recently upgrade to .NET Framework 1.1, SP 1? If so, this is a known issue:

Even if you didn't upgrade your framework, deleting the FormMain registry key should still bring back your client.
