error registering with source control

When I add this project to my solution from vault through Visual Studio .NET 2003 I get the message attached to this post saying "The project 'LT3' is under source control. An error occurred registering this project with source control. It is recommended that you do not make any changes to this project."

Any ideas what causes this?

Is LT3 under source control in another solution? You might bring it up and go to Change Source Control to see what it thinks it is bound to.
