Usually, the cloud hosting from space providers are modified settings for the security of the system, when I tried to install vault server in these, the vault client always can not remote connect to the host, the error message is vault can not found the server.
If I build a clean cloud host and install vault server on it, the client will visit successfully. But now I need install the vault server in a not clean host, I don't know how to change the settings on the host, can anybody tell me please?
I tried to close the firewall, but it's useless.
How to modify system settings for install vault
Re: How to modify system settings for install vault
On the new host, do you get a response from IIS when you go to http://<the server name or IP address> using a web browser?
For example, lets say my server name and domain for the web server is myserver.cyfage.com. To reach Vault on that server, you could enter http://myserver.cyfage.com/vaultservice/vaultweb. If that isn't coming up, then I'd have you test just getting a result from http://myserver.cyfage.com.
You might also try testing with https, for example, https://myserver.cyfage.com. Remember to try also with an IP address.
If you can't get a response from IIS alone, then there is no website that would work there and IIS is what needs to be fixed.
Let me know your results.
