Hi Beth,

Here is the web.config from C:\inetpub\wwwroot\VaultService:

Code: Select all

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<configuration>
  <!--
    For a description of web.config changes for .NET 4.5 see http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=235367.

    The following attributes can be set on the <httpRuntime> tag.
      <system.Web>
        <httpRuntime targetFramework="4.5" />
      </system.Web>
  -->
  <system.web>
    <!--  DYNAMIC DEBUG COMPILATION
          Set compilation debug="true" to enable ASPX debugging. Otherwise, setting this value to
          false will improve runtime performance of this application.
          Set compilation debug="true" to insert debugging symbols (.pdb information)
          into the compiled page. Because this creates a larger file that executes
          more slowly, you should set this value to true only when debugging and to
          false at all other times. For more information, refer to the documentation about
          debugging ASP .NET files.

Vault doesn't require SSL unless you set up IIS to require it. You can always test out that idea by trying the URL https://<your Vault server>/vaultservice/vaultweb.

A case was found where installing MySQL Connector on the same machine messes with the attempts to connect with MS SQL. The MySQL Connector installs a "Web Providers" component. If that can be uninstalled, then Vault should be fine.

Another option is to try the fix some users have reported here: https://our.umbraco.org/forum/umbraco-7 ... ent-198679. Look for the section that has this:

Code: Select all

** TO FIX **

Add the following to your umbraco web.config under the system.web section:

<siteMap>

<providers> <remove name="MySqlSiteMapProvider" />  </providers>

</siteMap>
