Process can't access the file because its being used

Post by btd » Mon Apr 13, 2015 9:11 am

I added a database project to my Visual Studio 2008 solution.
All the new database files in VS2008 are showing an S icon next to each file.
I can't check the files in and when I go to Vault and try to add them I get this message.
The process cannot access the file 'E:\My Documents\MOSS\Apps\FHLBMOREandPWR\FHLB_reports\FHLB_reports.dbmdl' because it is being used by another process.

What can I do?

Thanks

Can you show me a screenshot of what you mean by an S icon?

Does your antivirus scan those files? Vault can't touch files in the middle of the antivirus scanning them.
