Merge Repositories
I would like to combine 5 Repositories into 1 without losing the file Version History information. Is this possible with vault version 3.5.3?
Re: Merge Repositories
It is possible with Vault 3.5.3. The Vault Folder Export/Import tool installs with a Vault client. You will export from one repository into a .vfe file. Then connect to a different repository and import the .vfe to that repository.
Is there a reason for combining them? Doing this could potentially slow some performance. More repositories and smaller trees is actually better.

Re: Merge Repositories
These repositories are rarely accessed and can be logically grouped together.
They were set up early in our use of Vault before we had a good feel for how things worked.
They take up quite a bit of space in the "Show Repository" pop-up window (which by the way is pretty small and cannot be made larger).
We are tending to organize repositories by major functions like Engineering, Marketing, Business, Policies, etc.

Re: Merge Repositories
The Vault Export Import tool will still be the best route. You will want to log in as admin when you run it. Also, don't have users changing the repository you're exporting from or importing into while you are doing these actions.
