Any plans to decrease number of databases used by Vault?

Post by thomas62j5 » Tue Jan 13, 2015 4:39 pm

Vault currently uses 5 databases in SQL Server.

We're evaluating a move to an environment that limits us to having 30 databases total, and we're over that limit. We're looking for ways to consolidate our databases, and Vault is by far the biggest db hog of all applications we're using. Why does it need to be separated across 5 databases? Any plans to condense this in the future?

Thank you for your feedback. I can put in a feature request to either consolidate the databases, or possibly remove the ones for features users aren't using.

This would be nice as it would also simply backup / restore.
