Can you please tell me the main features in why we would upgrade to 8?
Both technical and business.
Currently we are using Vault Standard 7.1.0 (2028).

One of the noteworthy new features available in Vault 8.0 would be the Vault Cross Platform Client. The Vault CPC is a Java(TM)-based application which lets you access your Vault repositories from Mac OS X or Linux. There are also several Vault GUI features, such as Custom External Editors, File Properties View, Improved Performance for Ghosted folders...

Do you know if Vault 8 can plug in to Team Foundation Server as the source code archive?

I'm a bit confused by your question. Do you mean Visual Studio? Team Foundation Server only utilizes Team Foundation Version Control or Git.

No, we don't have a migration tool available for TFS.

Is there a particular reason you are considering Team Foundation Server?
