Receiving Emails When New File Is Added to Working Directory

Last week I upgraded Vault from 5.1.2 to 7.2.1. In the previous version, I was able to receive an email notification when a file was added, modified or changed for a folder I was watching ("Watched Paths").

With this new client, I can receive both email notifications and activity in the "notifications" tab at the bottom of the client, but only for things like check-outs and check-ins, but not when a new file is added to the folder I am watching.

In the Admin UI I have verified and tested my Email Settings (e.g. Server Settings -> Email Settings). I have received several test emails successfully and quickly. I also can receive emails for check-ins and check-outs.

In the Vault Client I select "Tools" -> "Options" -> "Notifications". My email address was propagated and I chose "Enable Email Notifications" and "Enable Application Notifications".

However, when I add a new file to my working folder, I can see it in Vault but I don't receive an email notification when a new file is added.

What can I check to make sure that this is setup properly?

In the Vault Tools - Options - Notifications, go to Source Code Control. What do you have for a Watched Path or what do you have set for Source Code Control Events?

Hi Beth - For "Watched Paths" I have:

$/ExternalWebs

and for Source Code Events I have:

Add
Checkout / Undo Checkout
Modify / Checkin

Hey Beth - I resolved this today by "hard coding" our domain name to the web.config file found at: D:\Vault_wwwroot\VaultService\VaultNotifyService\web.config. I replaced the 127.0.0.1 address with https://source.amareinc.com/
