The Edit menu disappeared in the latest Mac version of DiffMerge. There is now no way to copy text within a dialog.
Launch DiffMerge
Choose File Diff or Folder Diff or File Merge
Enter a path in any of fields
Select the path or portion of the path
Hit CMD-C to copy the text
Result: The dialog is dismissed.
Expected Result: The selected text should be copied to the clipboard

Re: Edit menu not available on Mac
Can you not see Copy in the right-click menu?
I can log a bug on the CMD-C not working as expected.
Also, one thing that should work is Command+X (cut) and immediately Command+V.

Yes, I can see and use Copy from the right click menu - thanks for that tip. 25 years of typing cmd-c is a hard habit to shake
Re: Edit menu not available on Mac
Will the CMD-C bug ever get fixed? It is supremely annoying to have a common shortcut like CMD-C be remapped to dismiss the window instead.

I thought I had just checked this recently. I will have to check it again and follow up tomorrow.

Re: Edit menu not available on Mac
Sorry, was thinking of a different thread. The cmd-c and cmd-v work from inside DiffMerge after the files were selected, but you are correct that where you enter the file or folder information for the diff the cmd-c isn't an option. You would have to use the right-click menu. A bug was logged. Cmd-v works.
