Error in Xml document - Viewing Folder Detail History

Post by Ocean@OwenBrady.net » Sat Nov 02, 2013 10:52 pm

I just completed upgrading to the latest vault server and client 7.0.0 (30548).

I was checking my projects making sure things are working.

I opened vault, Logged in to the project.
Selected the Root ($) and right clicked "Show History"
I selected "View folder history by version" and hit ok.
And the first entry I choose was "35" and I hit Details. And the Attached Error popped up.

I closed vault and reopened it. and repeated the steps but choose a different version and it worked. I try version 35 again and no errors.

It is only when I select it first before any other history item that it fails.

I enabled "Debug" Level logs in the via the web admin tools

Any help figuring this out would be appreciated.

This vault is my personal vault used for my own projects.

Some past posts with this error seem to indicate the MTU settings. Check out these posts:

Can you open your Vault GUI client, login, then go to Help - Technical Support and copy the information from there into a reply?

Does this issue happen on all machines?

I only use it from one computer at the moment. So there are no other computers to test it with. All the access is from the local network, so it does not go though a router.

What you might also try is installing a Vault GUI client right on the Vault server and using localhost to connect so that the network isn't used. Then see if you have the same issue right on the server.

I have installed the client on the server. And the problem doesn't show up on the client running on the server.

So from the looks of it has to do with the MTU setting.

I will have to read up on what I can do about this setting to fix the problem.
