Shelveset not listing all files in VS2010

Post by jordan » Mon Oct 21, 2013 8:08 am

We are running Vault Standard 6.1.0 (531) with Visual Studio 2010.
When I try to unshelve from within Visual Studio, after selecting a shelveset, the "Shelveset Details" dialog only shows one of multiple files to unshelve (the first one in the list). If I open the Vault client I can see all of the files, and can unshelve properly. It is not even possible to unshelve all files in a shelveset from within VS.

This is true of all of my shelvesets.

Is this a new problem? Or were you able to use Shelve before with no problem?

I develop on many different VMs, and most of them don't have this problem. So this problem seems to be isolated to this instance as far as I can tell.

What operating system is on the virtual machine that has the shelving problems?

Also, I just noticed that older shelvesets correctly list all files from within VS.

Could you post a screenshot of what you're seeing. Is it possible only one file was shelved?

Here are two screenshots: one showing a recent shelveset in Visual Studio 2010 that only displays a single file. The other is a screenshot of the same shelveset viewed from Sourcegear Vault Client that shows all files in the shelveset.

Unshelving from the client correctly loads all files in the shelveset.

I completely forgot to add one detail that might be relevant: I took over a project that was on a VM created by another developer. You helped me with an issue related to this VM sharing a month ago where Vault was getting me mixed up with the last dev. The fix basically to unbind, delete some user files, restart and then rebind:

I am still working on the same project on the same VM, so maybe this issue is related. Although all of my shelvesets were created after the previous issue was resolved.
