Visual Studio 2013

I am reading through the various release notes for Vault Standard v6 and v7 and don't see official support for VS2013 anywhere. Is the enhanced client supported? What version of Vault do I need to be on? Thanks,

Visual Studio 2013 is not yet supported with Vault. The final release needs to be fully tested.

I can add your "vote" to a feature request we have to support VS 2013 .

We have it planned for Vault 7.0.1, which is in the works now, but I don't have a final release date for that version yet.

Visual Studio 2013 was released after Vault 7 had shipped. Although Vault 7 Enhanced and Classic clients were not tested against Visual Studio 2013, we did do limited testing with Visual Studio 2013 Preview, so there is limited support for Visual Studio 2013 when using Vault 7.

So, if you install Vault 7 after installing Visual Studio 2013, you should both the Enhanced and Classic clients have been registered. We'll offer full support of Visual Studio 2013 in Vault 7.0.1, as we'll be able to put the client through a full battery of testing. Until then, if you encounter any problems, please let us know so we can take a look during the 7.0.1 QA cycle.

This is quite disappointing. We're on 6.1 and in no hurry to get to 7.0. However, we were eager to get Visual Studio 2013. So far we've had to rollback the first Visual Studio 2013 upgrade. And we can't plan it because there's no release date for 7.01 which is now a pre-requisite.

Why wasn't SourceGear ahead of the curve on this? There were betas and previews available for quite some time. While Microsoft could change things before the RTM, its doubtful those changes would've affected source control integration in a major way, if at all.

A quick update. Full support for Visual Studio 2013 is found in Vault 7.1, which was released today.
