Here's my sequence of events. I think...
1. Deleted Solution A
2. Got latest of Solution B
3. Added Project 1, that was in Solution A already. I removed binding information from the csproj beforehand.
4. Changed the name of Project 1
5. Tried to check in. But now I have this when I try to check in:
Changes in working folder but not in solution:
lists everything from Project 1, from before the name was changed. These files/directories don't exist in the working folder.
If I try to check in these changes, I get the error "Could not find a part of the path 'directory of Project 1 before changing the name'
Even if I reset the working folder to something else, Vault keeps referencing this old folder name that no longer exists anywhere.
Back to the Check In window, if I try to uncheck all the "Changes in working folder but not in solution," it instantly closes the Check In window.
I think I royally screwed this up...Any help is appreciated!
Added Project, changed name, I sort of made it a mess...

1. Where did you delete Solution A from? Was it deleted from Vault or from your disk?
2. Add the project from Solution A from Vault or from disk?
Is it possible for you to undo the name change, then check in and then perform the name change as a separate action?

I think I could give that a shot. I can't recall if I tried that.
