Adding Solution to new Vault 2 Install

Post by bdesmond » Sat Feb 14, 2004 2:47 pm

Hi,

I have a preexisting solution consisting of about 5 library projects and one web project. This is in VS2003 on Windows 2003EE (IIS on same box). I created a repository in the admin tool for the solution. In VS, I right clicked the solution and told it to add to source control.

All my files/projects now have a little check next to them. If I right click any of the projects or the solution and try to check in recursively, I am presented with this error message:

"Failed to check in one or more files. Some files remain checked out or not added".

None of my files get checked in.

Am I doing something wrong here?

Furthermore, it seems my vault client isn't working. When I try to add/checkin some new files I get this:

---------------------------
SourceGear Vault
---------------------------
The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Here's the log from the client:

Hello,
I'm having a similar problem - Vault 2.0 client on WinXP connecting to Vault server on Win2000.
When I try to create a folder from the client, I find these messages in the "Messages" tab:
[2/21/2004 12:08:30 AM] Preparing data to begin transaction
[2/21/2004 12:08:30 AM] Beginning transaction
[2/21/2004 12:08:30 AM] Create folder $/Proj
[2/21/2004 12:08:30 AM] Ending the transaction
[2/21/2004 12:08:30 AM] Server unavailable for transaction end
[2/21/2004 12:08:30 AM] Transaction failed
[2/21/2004 12:08:30 AM] Transaction failed

Thanks for any advice....

Check the server log (usually at c:\windows\temp\sgvault, but specified in the admin tool) to see if it has any helpful information
