Moving work items between projects

Is there an easy method of moving existing work items to a new project ?

We create projects for each version of the applications we are working on. As soon as an application is released we start a new project for the next version. We then want to move all open work items marked as features or enhancements from the original project to the new one.

I have found no easy way of doing this as batch processing of work items only allows for changes to the work items themselves and I can find no option to move items to a new project. Maybe I have missed something really obvious !

There currently isn't a way to batch edit items to move them to a different project. It can only be done one at a time. I have a feature request open that I will add your "vote" to.

Are all your custom fields used up? You could designate one of those to be the version of your product you are working on. More custom fields are planned soon as well.

Here we use milestones to designate what version of the product we are working on and separate Vault 5 from Vault 6 from Vault 7 and so on.
