Custom Work Item Fields

We want to have two drop lists, one for priority and one for severity. I set up a custom field as severity, but the field gets skipped over when bugs are entered by testers because choices aren't provided. I considered setting up the priority drop list in a Severity-Priority (Medium-Low, Medium-High) format, but found the testers confused.

Is it possible to change the name of one of the standard fields in work item tracking (such as platform) or to turn one of the custom fields into a drop list?

Not in the current version. However -- Vault 7, due out in a few months will allow users to create and define the format of custom fields.
