Shadow folder not working

Post by OrigamiIT » Mon Mar 18, 2013 11:23 pm

When ever I click on shadow folders I get the error listed below.

System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. ---> VaultLib.VaultCryptoException: Invalid length for a Base-64 char array. at VaultLib.VaultCrypto.Decrypt(String strBase64Buf) at VaultShadowFolder.VaultShadowFolderService.TestServerConnection() --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Please help.

What operating system is Vault installed on?

If the OS is Vista or higher, then check in your IIS Manager that the Vault shadow folder AppPool is set for the right bitness. If the other Vault application pools are using 32-bit, then the shadow folders should as well.

Can you post a partial screenshot showing the VaultAppPool advanced settings?

On the setting Enable 32-bit applications you have False, which is good, but you need to make sure the Vault Shadow Folder AppPool has that set to False as well.

What does the AppPool for the shadow folder have?

You're not in Application Pools in your last screenshot. Click on Application Pools and there should be one that has Vault shadow folder in the name.

I haven't found an answer yet.

I'd like to see your full Vault server log found on the Vault server at %windir%/temp/sgvault.log. Could you send that log in an email to support at sourcegear.com (attn: Beth) with a link to this forum thread?
