FEATURE REQUEST: Record/Display Checkout date/time in UI

I would like the ability to view the date/time that an item was checked-out in the Vault standalone UI. This would require recording the date/time if you do not already do so.

Was this feature implemented? I'm trying to get a list of checked out files with the date the files were checked out, but that information is not available in the search by "Checked out by".

It has not yet been implemented, but I've added your "vote."

In the meantime, I might have a workaround.

Log into the Vault Admin Web Client and under Source Control Repositories->(Repository name), choose Undo Checkout.

This will show you all the checked out files in the repository and the time of the checkout. You can sort by date. Highlight and copy the rows you want, then paste them into Excel, where you can manipulate the data and formatting.

We're hoping to provide some reporting capability in Vault 7, due out later this year.

Would a report of checkout times help you in this situation?

If so, what format would be useful?

Hi Linda, the undo checkout workaround brings the information I need, it would be nice to be able to pull that list without logging on with the admin account. Being able to export to csv or Excel (like the save as on show history) would be really helpful.

We're hoping to include the ability to create more reports in Vault 7, due out later this year.

Oooh, please tell me that this includes the "Show History by Version" dialog! It's annoying that the "Show History by Item" dialog can write reports, but this one can't.

A letter developers know about the request. I want to clarify my comments about reports--we do hope to have some built-in reports but are still determining that functionality.
