Show column position of cursor?

Hello,

Would it be possible in a future version to show the column number of the cursor? This tool is great for comparing before/after files that, but be even better is the the cursor position was shown. Example, I create files that typically consist of about 1500 char/record. I want to be able to click the cursor on some area of the data and be able to tell that I am looking at position X within the row.
