I'm sure this is not a new topic, but I did search...
I imported files in various web projects in subdirs of C:\inetpub\wwwroot. I check out, modify, but when I try to check back in I get the message that access to the folders under C:\inetpub\wwwroot are denied.
Perhaps the IIS User that Vault is using does not have Full access? But I don't know how to determine that.
W7 64-bit.
Thank you.

I don't think it's a problem with the account Vault uses.
I could use more details.
Is C:\inetpub\wwwroot the working folder for your Vault Client?
When you say you "imported" projects, how were they imported to C:\inetpub\wwwroot?
What Vault Client are you using when you get the error -- GUI, Command Line Client, or Visual Studio?
What is the exact error you're getting when you attempt to check in?

Re: Access to the path 'C:\inetpub\wwwroot denied
When I open the Client I have a top folder, $, with no working folder. Under that are two folders (projects). E.g., HF, with a working folder of C:\inetpub\wwwroot\HF.
I used the Client Add Files/Folders to bring existing files into Vault.
Getting a different/additional issue now: I checked the file out, modified it, now I'm told I need to Merge. Why? I want to check in my updated local file back into the repository. Confusing.
I attached a screen shot. Thank you!

Could something be locking the files? Are you using some type of editor to modify the files?when I try to check back in I get the message that access to the folders under C:\inetpub\wwwroot are denied.
Needs merge means the file in working folder is modified and Vault thinks it's older than the file in the repository. Is anyone else working on these files and checking them in?now I'm told I need to Merge

Re: Access to the path 'C:\inetpub\wwwroot denied
Hello,
In this case I tried checking out another file, modifying it, and checking back in.
I've attached a screenshot of the message. When I started the Client up today it says this file "Needs Merge".
I can't even Undo Checkout since I get the same message, Access to Path denied.
Thank you

Make sure the Windows account you're logged into the machine with has Full Control over the working folder in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot.
