Cannot diff

Cannot diff
Hello
show diff only works with the current working folder.
I've tried with another project and another folder, both resulted in "Project" not found. Where project is the source I'm trying to compare.

Re: Cannot diff
Where are in invoking the diff dialog?
If you right-click inside the main Vault window, you can see in the diff options window it says, "Compare the working folder/file to:" and then it gives you a list of options to compare it to.
If you perform a Show History and select a different version, then the dialog says, "Compare the repository folder/file to:"

Re: Cannot diff
It's from the Vault GUI Client "project pane"
right click "Show differences"
"Any repository folder/file" => I select another project
It downloads all the destination project files, then failed.
At least this morning... Twice.
I'll try to check what was the difference.

Re: Cannot diff
Did you find how to change what you were comparing to?

Re: Cannot diff
I didn't reproduce the issue since then. You can close the ticket.
Thanks Beth

Re: Cannot diff
In fact: it starts, read all the second project files, then says it cannot find the second.
I made a test from a project that is before the next one on the tree: it's OK
I do the reverse: from the lowest project to the uppert: it failed

Re: Cannot diff
Are you typing in the path or using the browse button?
Are you able to make it happen a second time on the same projects? For example, if you got a failure on comparing Project3 to Project2, then if you tried to diff those two again a minute later, would you still get the error?

Re: Cannot diff
somewhat difficult to understand
branches seems to fail more often
When it fails, it seems to always fail.
Is a is recursive folder comparison from the vault diff dialog with the browse button that shows all the projecs (last line).
the folder that fails also fails with himself, but can start to get all its files. Its the second time that it fails
Here is its path: too long may be
$\Tests\Matrox\DUBMaster_Saccade_9.1_Crash_9.2\sce\Gfx

Maybe we should take this one offline so I can see it. Could you send an email to support at sourcegear.com (attn: Beth) with a link to this forum thread?
