Eclipse auto login

Post by jdurrant » Wed Oct 03, 2012 1:14 pm

Is there a way to have the eclipse plugin for Vault Standard remember and auto log in? Visual Studio does it, but Eclipse (Juno 4.2) does not. And, if I start eclipse, then switch to another task before the login, sometimes the login dialog box gets buried and I can't to anything until after I find the box in the windows list and then login. I have tried using AD, non AD both with and without a password. What is the point of having a remember password check box, if it doesn't auto login?

We are currently looking into this issue. Would you mind to provide us with the version of Vault Standard that you have installed?

I am using Vault Client 6.0.1 (598)
Eclipse plugin 6.0.1.598

And it did it with Vault 5 also. It is just now more of an annoyance when I upgraded Eclipse to Juno (4.2).

Thanks for the information!

Checking into your concern, I can see how reconnecting to Vault all the time can be a bit of an annoyance. Especially when the dialogs end up hid behind others. As of right now, the only option to make things a bit easier for you is to enable the "save password" feature. Others have requested that we add the "profile" feature to the plugin but this feature has not yet been implemented. I will add your vote to this feature request (13660). Sorry for the inconvenience and hopefully this can be resolved in the near future.
