Suspend Find in Files is grayed out

Post by tfrisinger » Wed Sep 26, 2012 7:38 pm

I'd like to suspend the indexing of a repository (Find in Files), but the Suspend option is grayed out.

Is the indexing still going on?

Yes. It's been indexing one repository for 24 hours now. Using up 96% of RAM on the SQL server. Repository size is 20+ GB.

Find in Files indexing isn't completeing

Post by tfrisinger » Fri Sep 28, 2012 8:20 am

After 48 hours of "supposed" indexing the database, sgvaultindex, has not grown in size in the last 24+ hours. I turned the Find in Files off for the repository. The memory usage, however, on the SQL server remained at 95% so I ended the process sqlserver.exe and now it's back to the normal 15% of memory usage. Other repositories indexed fine, but the remaining repository will not (two attempts now). Something is definitely wrong. I don't find anything helpful in the vaultindexservice.txt file. Not sure where to go from here...
