adding solution to local system

I installed the sourcesafe client and have connected successfully to the visual source safe database. Yet when I try to open the solution in visual studio I get all kinds of errors. Is there any documentation anywhere that can show me how to work with solutions in visual source safe?

If the solution is already in source code control, and you are integrating with SourceOffSite, you should first open the solution from source code control.

In VS.NET this would be under File->SourceCodeControl->Open from SourceCodeControl.
