Source Control Menu in .NET grayed out

Source Control Menu in .NET grayed out

I have downloaded a demo client version 2.0.6 (2219) of Vault. I have Visual Studio .NET 7.1.3088. .NET framework 1.1.4322. OS os Windows 2000 Pro w/service pack 4.
I've installed the demo (and clicked 'Make vault my default source control provider).
When I open Visual Studio.NET under the file menu/source control all my options are grayed out. Why?

Check the Vault GUI client in Tools->Options and verify whether the "Make Vault the default SCC provider" is checked.

If all seems fine there, it might be that you have Visual Studio Standard, which doesn't support source control integration.

Other customers have had to install Visual SourceSafe in order for VS to recognize other SCC providers, so you might try that as well.
