Vault Standard 6.0.0 - Not detecting pending changes.

I had an incident on Friday with Vault not seeing that a number of files had been changed. I'm using Vault Standard 6.0.0 with VS 2010 SP1 on Win 7 Ultimate x64.

What happened is I had about 5 files that were changed. Vault wasn't showing these in pending changes. I closed VS (thinking I must have already committed the changes). Later I re-opened VS (to make sure I did commit the changes). I have Vault configured to automatically get everything when opening a solution. I'm pretty sure the automatic merge option was checked (it is by default right?). But then in the output Vault showed that it had indeed pulled down old copies of my files (overwriting just the 5 files that I had changed).

This morning I realized the _sgbak directory had the files I wanted. I was able to copy/paste/rename them into my project. Okay, now I've got my code back. However, here is the weird thing. Vault was still showing no pending changes. I clicked the "rescan working folders" icon several times, but still no pending changes. Finally I decided to make minor changes to each of the files in hopes that Vault would detect the changes and show them as pending. Well after I changed about 2 - 3 of the files all of them were listed as pending. I was able to commit, now things seem to be working again.

There are no other developers working on this project.

I can't find any release notes for 6.0.1 (though I see it's available). Perhaps this is a bug in 6.0.0?

We've been using the previous version of Vault for several years (with about 50 licenses) and never had this happen before. We upgraded to Vault 6 on 8/20/2012, so are fairly new to this version.

I don't have any cases like this, and this hadn't shown up in testing. Without troubleshooting while the incident is happening, it's hard to say what's going on. If it happens again, feel free to call support.
