Vault Pro 6.0.0 (30477) VS Enhanced Client is extremely slow
Hi.
I've just upgraded to Vault 6.0.0 and am experiencing an extremely slow performance of the Vault VS client. With the new Vault version it takes about 7 secs (!) to open the VS context menu and more than 20 secs to perform a checkout. Reproducible in both VS2010 and VS2012 RC2. A checkout via the non-VS client takes a split second.
I'd really appreciate a quick response, as Vault 6.0 is not backwards compatible, and I must decide whether to downgrade to Vault 5 ASAP.

Are VS 2010 and VS 2012 on the same machine?
How many projects and how many files are in your solution?
What type of projects are in the solution?
If you shut down Visual Studio and restart, is performance better?
In Visual Studio look under View->Toolbars->Vault VS Enhanced Source Control. If this toolbar is enabled, disable it and see if that make a difference.
What other Vault toolbars are displayed in Visual Studio? Under the VS View Menu, the options are Vault Pending Changes, Notifications, and Vault Professional->Work Item Tracking.
Does disabling any of these make a difference in performance?

The both Studio versions are installed on the same machine.
The solution has 24 projects and about 700 files.
Project types: class library, console app and ASP.NET MVC.
Restarting VS didn't help.
The Vault VS Enhanced Source Control toolbar is disabled.
I've had Vault Pro Pending Changes visible, but closing it doesn't make any difference. Also, the Commit All command initiated from VPPC takes more than a minute to display the checked out files (even when there are just a few of them).
By the way, I first noticed the performance issue after installing the Vault 6.0 Preview 2 client only.

Were you using both VS 2010 and VS 2012 with Vault 5.1.2 previously?
Was that performance ok?
Note: We don't support Vault 5.1.2 integration with VS 2012, but some users have been able to create registry keys to enable integration.

I used Vault 5.1.2 with VS 2010 only (in VS 2012 I worked in the offline mode).
The performance of Vault 5 was exceptional, compared to that of Vault 6.

I'm seeing this behavior as well. The context menu takes a few seconds to open. I only have 13 projects, and they're pretty small.
