Trouble migrating to 6.0 on Server 2003

I went thru the 6.0 upgrade on my Server 2003 box, but it won't work. The default web site will not start under IIS. When I try to start it, I get an error box: "Ther service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion."

Getting three errors logged in System Event Viewer:
"The WWW Publishing service encounered a failure requesting metabase change notifications."
Data field:80004002
"A failure occurred while initializing the configuration manager for the WWW publishing service"
Data field:80004002
"WWW publishing service is exiting due to an error."
Data field:80004002

On Windows 2003 Server, the web service may still be using the older version of the .Net Framework.

First, verify that the .NET Framework 4.0 Full Framework for Server and Development is on the machine. (Not the Client Profile, which is for the desktop). http://www.microsoft.com/net/download

If .NET 4.0 is installed, you should be able to switch to the 4.0 Framework in the website properties. In IIS Manager, right-click on Vault Service and select Properties->ASP.net. In the dropdown, select 4.0. Do this for the other Vault web services.

Let me know if this does not resolve the problem.

I did double-check to make sure the full version of .NET 4.0 is installed, and it is. I also checked the ASP.Net versions in each of the Vault Services in IIS, and all are at 4.0.

Still can't get the default Web Site to start.
