Problems installing Vault using Windows Authentication

This VAULT installation I'm doing for a client has two servers:
1. APP server where I'm installing the Vault server
2. SQL server where the databases will be

I'm using an active directory user account for IIS Process Model:

This user account is local admin on both the APP server as well the SQL server. This user account has sys admin privileges to the SQL installation.

I'm trying to connect to the SQL server using Windows authentication:

However it's trying to connect using the computer account which does not have access to the SQL server. I did not specify to connect using the computer account. I specifically configured the user account as shown in the first screen shot.

Why is the setup not connecting using the specified user account?

It may be a known bug. What operating system are you install Vault on?

We've seen this on Windows 2008 R2 server installations. It will be fixed in Vault 6.0, due out this summer.

Are you able to use SQL Server Authentication for your SQL Server?

If not, you may need to manually create the account in SQL Server and modify the Vault Service web.config with the connection information. Email support at sourcegear.com, Attn: Linda for instructions. Please include a link to this forum post.

I am running into the exact same issue when trying to install Vault 6.0.0.30477 on Windows Server 2008 R2. Has the issue not been fixed?

Is there any update on this? Also, I'm not sure if this matters, but I am trying to install Vault Professional.

Try running the installer as Administrator.

Find your command prompt icon in the start menu of your computer, right-click it, and select Run as Administrator. Perform this action even if you are already an administrator.

Then cd to the directory of the installer .msi file and type in the name of the installer file and hit "enter."

This should run the installer with full administrator rights.
