VCB Support

Hi

We are wanting to use VCB (Versioning Controlled Build) which allows us to easily manage the version numbering in our product. With over 30 projects in the main solution it is a huge timesaver.

Just one problem, when it updates AssemblyInfo.vb and the project, Vault black flags the file.

Is there a way I can get this to cause the files to be checked out when VCB updates them?

You might try using the CVS mode in Vault. That way files just immediately go to an Edited status and are ready for check in, no check out required first. That setting is found in the Vault Tools - Options - Concurrent Development Style. That setting would only affect the client you make the change on.
