Please revise the Vault Client toolbar to show captions

Hello,

I know you're working on v6, I haven't seen it yet, supposedly a preview was to be out in Jan. I'd like to make a suggestion to make usability in the vault client better. I cannot remember what the toolbar buttons do by image. Please consider using a toolbar button that is a larger image WITH caption below, or a Ribbon UI. I need something larger and text so I know what the button does. Especially in a source control environment, we don't need any risk of doing something wrong so please help us in the User Experience.

Most of our buttons have a description if you mouse-over. But it sounds like you'd rather have a caption that's always there?

Yes, I know, but I don't want to hover and wait. I want to see and click, it's a better user experience. Toolbar buttons are a think of the past in the UI as you have it now, a very poor design in my opinion. Not your fault, just having toolbar button images only as many have done. We can help our users better, that's my software and yours too.

Unfortunately, we hit a snag that was showing up in about 40% of our Win 7 test scenarios. It was one of those nasty problems that doesn't occur in a debug build, and was big enough to cripple one of the new features.

In any case, it was resolved after some digging, but that pushed our timetable out a few days. The Vault 6 Preview will be released very, very soon.
