Vault 5.1.1 and Dreamweaver

Post by kha » Wed Dec 21, 2011 3:01 pm

Does Vault 5.1.1 work with Dreamweaver? If so, can I have a how-to guide link (if there is any available)?

Thanks!

Vault 5.1.1 is supported with Dreamweaver. You can find documentation in the Vault user manual (http://download.sourcegear.com/misc/vau ... thelp.html) under section 8 (http://download.sourcegear.com/misc/vau ... ebdav.html)

Hi Beth,

I am having error logging in using Dream weaver.

Info:
Vault admin web based: http://10.x.x.x/VaultService/Admin/Repositories.aspx
Repository name: Demo
Repository path: $\Common

The path I put in on Dreamweaver Site setup is as:
http://10.x.x.x/VaultService/sgdav/wd.a ... mo/Common/

Username: admin

I only configured the Servers on Site Setup
Not sure if I need to configure the Version Control. If so, it doesn't accept my path, it only took the IP when I pasted in the long path in box Server Address. And it only took /vaultservice/sgdav/wd.ashx in the Repository Path:

Could you try the Sanity Check that is talked about in the manual on this page: http://download.sourcegear.com/misc/vau ... ebdav.html? The Sanity Check is one of the last sections on that page. What results do you get from that?

It pops up to add for username and password when I browsed this URL

http://10.x.x.x/SgDav/wd.ashx/10.x.x.x/Demo/SanityCheck

It does the same thing if I browse http://10.x.x.x/SgDav/wd.ashx

I entered "admin" and the password that I used to my admin account to manage web-based vaultservice. It doesn't take it.

Is there something wrong with my settings?

Does the Vault GUI client work on its own?

If you go to the Vault web client, does it pop-up a separate Windows login window or does only the Vault web login show in the browser? For you the web client is at http://10.x.x.x./vaultservice/vaultweb.

When i browse to http://10.x.x.x/VaultService/VaultWeb, it asks me to login (http://10.x.x.x/VaultService/VaultWeb/Login.aspx) on the same browser window (not a pop up window) and I am able to login with my admin account successfully.

It looks like the URL you have in DreamWeaver isn't correct. You shouldn't have vaultservice in the URL. Instead is should be http://10.x.x.x/SgDav/wd.ashx/10.x.x.x/Demo/projectname, but replace projectname with the project to connect.

"Demo" should be the name of your repository. If it isn't, change that to the repository name.

Still not working. I tried this http://10.x.x.x/sgdav/wd.ashx/10.x.x.x/Demo/SanityCheck and it pops up a new window for me to put in username and password. I entered admin as username, then password, doesn't take it.

Demo is repository name
Projectname: should it be a folder inside of Demo repository?

Go to the Vault server. In your IIS Manager, look under the website that Vault was installed to for a Vaultshadowfolder. Check the properties on that item to make sure that anonymous access is set for that folder.

If you tell me what OS the Vault server is on, I can be more specific with my directions.

Hi Beth,

It's IIS 6 (windows 2003). I went into IIS Manager -> navigate to VaultShadowFolder -> right click on it and choose Permission -> I saw ANONYMOUS LOGON with read access -> get this error when i hit the test button

I think it might be easier to troubleshoot this offline. Could you send an email to support at sourcegear.com (attn: Beth) with a link to this forum thread?
