We are experiencing odd behaviour with Eclipse plug in.
Today for instance, we received this error. After we waited a few moments, we tried again and got connected. But then when we expand the "Team" menu in Eclipse, all of the Vault options are greyed out (ie. Get Latest version, check out, check in, undo check out)
"An error occurred while connectCommand : the connection to the server failed: server cannot be contacted or uses a protocol that is not supported by this client. Unable to connect to htt://xxx/VaultService. No server was found at the specified URL. Please verify your nextwork settings using the Options dialog under the Tools menu in the Vault GUI client. Web exception: Unable to connnect to the remote server.
Note: We .net developers are having no issues.
Here is the set up.
Eclipse 3.4.2. version. Build M2009211-1700
About Eclipse SDK Plug in version 5.1.2.19281
Please advise on what to do. Or is there a newer patch for Eclipse plug in.
Thanks

Was this working properly before?
If so, has something changed since that last successful login?

Re: Vault v5.1.1 19215 and Eclipse v3.4.2 Plugin
Good question. I asked that too and the developer in question said it worked fine after the initial installation but sine then has been flaky. Is there an upgrade or a patch that's available? What other options are there?
THanks

Re: Vault v5.1.1 19215 and Eclipse v3.4.2 Plugin
We need to troubleshoot further to determine what the problem is. The 5.1.2.19281
Eclipse plugin version is the latest.
What operating system is the user using the Eclipse plugin on?
If it's Windows, does the user have a Vault Client on that machine? If so, does it connect with no problems?
Is your server a Vault Standard or Vault Pro server?
If you look in Eclipse under Help->Sofware Updates->Installed Software, is only one Vault Plugin listed?

We are using Vault Standard.
Yes, the Vault Client is on the machine.
The client's OS is Windows 2003 Server , standard x64 edition

This is what I see
Eclipse SDK 3.4.2.M2009211-1700
Vault Eclipse PlugIn 5.1.2.19281
Ideas?

Re: Vault v5.1.1 19215 and Eclipse v3.4.2 Plugin
Can the user connect with the Vault GUI Client with no errors?
Try logging in again, with Eclipse and if there are errors, send me copies of the Eclipse client log and the Vault Server log for the time of the login.
The Eclipse client log is called VaultEclipseLog.log, and it's in the C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\local settings\temp folder
The Vault log is called sgvault.log and is in %windir%\temp\sgvault on the server machine.
Send the logs zipped up to support at sourcegear.com, Attn: Linda. Please include a link to this forum post.
