Exception during Login: Exception from HRESULT: 0x8004D6C9.

Hi all,

I've just installed the latest server/client, added existing sourcesafe repository and added user to SOS.

I'm trying to connect to the server via VPN. Here's the error from the log on the server:

9/13/2004 10:19:30 AM - Connection accepted from 192.168.1.106:2088 on local address 192.168.2.6:8080, session id is 6.
9/13/2004 10:19:37 AM - 6: Exception during Login: Exception from HRESULT: 0x8004D6C9.
9/13/2004 10:19:37 AM - 6: Exception from HRESULT: 0x8004D6C9.

The client gets "Invalid password - login failed".
Any ideas?

Does the user have a valid VSS username and password? VSS works with Windows Authentication, but SOS does not. It's possible the user does not have a VSS password. You would create the password using the VSS Admin client.
