Vault and Proxy Settings

I'd like to put in a request to change Vault client. If a proxy is set in Vault client, we cannot connect to the Vault server. The only way to change the setting is to log in to the server. Since we cannot log in, the ability to access network settings is greyed out.

Our systems are locked down and do not allow us access to modify network settings in our browsers or edit the registry, therefore we are stuck.

I would like to see the proxy setting in vault client we available even if we cannot connect to the server, just to allow us to turn it off in order to connect to the server.

Are you on Vault 5.1.2 yet? We just changed that behavior with the latest release.

In Vault 5.1.2, what you will do is click Cancel on the login dialog, then go to Tools - Options - Network Settings and enter your proxy information.

If you can't install the Vault 5.1.2 client or just aren't up to the Vault 5.1.x version yet, then you can find the proxy settings in the registry. Backup your registry before making any changes to it. The key to look for is HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SourceGear\Vault\Client\Settings, and there are three proxy entries to fill in. The last proxy setting only takes a 0, 1, or 2, so you will want a 1 to indicate you're setting a proxy manually.

Actually, we are 5.1.1 still. Is it simply an install over 5.1.1? No other modifications should be needed?
