Commit via Right-Click context menu

Post by wkrzystek » Thu Jul 28, 2011 8:40 pm

We just upgraded from Vault 5.0.1 to Vault 5.1.1 and I'm wondering why the "Commit" option was removed from the right-click context menu in the Pending Change Set section of the Vault Client. Now I have to click a tiny checkbox (which requires a much more precise click than just right-clicking anywhere on the desired row) and then I have to click the commit button.

I apologize if this sounds like I'm whining but why was it necessary to take away this functionality? You can still undo a checkout or show difference from the context menu and all of the other options I had always used but only the "Commit Selected Operations" menu option was removed.

It would be awesome if this functionality could be returned to the product. This particular change created a much more user-hostile interface.

Sorry, we didn't mean to add more steps to your work. We have heard from other users that they miss this feature, so we are adding it back in Vault 6.0, due out later this year.

Vault Standard and Vault Professional 5.1.2 should address this issue.
