We have had a few issues where we felt the developers were not getting the latest version from Vault, and have not been able to re-produce until now.
Right now, I have a Visual Studios project that had new files added to it by another developer. These new files are in Vault, and are not on my machine.
From within Visual Studios 2005, I right click on the Solution (or the project) and say "Get Latest Version", and no new files download.
When I open my Vault Client (4.1.4), and browse to the new files, it shows they are missing. No matter what I do in Visual Studios, it doesn't look like it is getting the new files.
This is a problem for us because developers run all of their coding out of Visual Studios, and don't normally open the Vault Client to tell if they are missing any changes. The files in question are checked into Vault, they are not checked out, and should be downloaded to my machine.
Any ideas?

Re: Not getting the latest version from Visual Studios
What version of Visual Studio are you using? Are you using the Enhanced or Classic Client for integration?
What type of project is this? Is the solution/project file under source control?
Could you provide some steps to reproduce? For instance, what types of items are added?

VS Version: Visual Studios 2005
Integration: Classic Client
Project type: Assembly (DLL) in C#
Solution and Project are both in Vault.
Items added are classes. If you want to email me off line (ben.haynie@birddog.com) I can set up a meeting and show you my screen, etc.

I wasn't able to reproduce this, so it would be good to take a closer look at your configuration.
I'll contact you about a remote session.

Re: Not getting the latest version from Visual Studios
The user and his colleague were using two different project files, one which was not under source control. Because of that, the user's project was not aware of changes made by his colleague.
