Visual studio "Vault Professional Options" greyed out

Have Vault Professional installed. In Visual Studio (2005, 2008 and 2010) the Vault Professional Options (Remember Login... and Command dialogs) are greyed out. How can we enable these options so the users don't have to enter their password all the time?

Those options could be greyed out if you have Visual Studio open, but no solution/project open, or if the solution is not under source control, or if the solution is under source control but offline.

When you open your solution, do you get a Login dialog? If so, there's checkbox on the lower right for "Remember Login for this Repository."
