SOS 5.0.1
Visual Studio 2005
Windows 2008 on both the client/server
When I click on some folders in the explorer tree on the left, or when I try to get the latest code, I'm getting an error message that reads...
******************
An error occurred storing the file -
C:\Users\xwei\AppData\Local\SourceGear\SourceOffSite\servers\071006070148\DB1\N\N42+VD2?8Y7.
C:\Users\xwei\AppData\Local\SourceGear\SourceOffSite\servers\071006070148\DB1\N\N42+VD2?8Y7 contains an incorrect path.
******************
I can see that the '?' should be a '.' from looking at the other database files, but how do I prevent this incorrect '?' usage? Since '?' is not permitted in a Windows file name, it seems like this is causing a problem for SOS.
This is preventing me from using SOS to get the latest files or to view the files on VSS. Can someone please help?
Thanks,
Lek

Re: Getting error message: An error occurred storing the fil
In case anyone comes across this, this was addressed in SOS 5.0.2 as well as SOS 5.0.3. See SourceOffSite 5 OS without 8-bit character support for additional information.
