strange signs in code
strange signs in code
We work with sourcegear SCM system now (since last week).
Somewhere in the process of checking in/merge/get latest version/checkout in Sourcegear I get suddenly this in the first line.
Then the file does not compile anymore offcource…
But where this comes from I still don’t know, can you help ?

What language packs do you have installed on your client? What language packs are on the server?
What types of files are you working with?
Are you coding with java?
Are you checking in with the Vault GUI client or command-line client or from inside some other software?

If you mean the windows language packs:
Language pack on the client: Dutch
Language pack on the server: None
This are .p files (Progress), so no Java !
From inside the eclipse plugin.

Re: strange signs in code
Do you use keyword expansion?
What is the encoding on your file?
What version of Vault are you on, and did you upgrade from a previous version?

Re: strange signs in code
If you open a .p file in notepad, and perform a Save As, what does it list for the default encoding of the file there?

Re: strange signs in code
Look a little lower in your Save As window. Does it say ANSI, or UTF-8, or some other encoding?
I've attached a screenshot of an example of what I'm looking for.

Re: strange signs in code
Would it be possible to get a 2 copies of the file, one in it's "good" state and one in it's "bad" state? If so, you can send an email to support at sourcegear.com (attn: Beth) with a link to this forum thread.
