Long ago when i started using vault I installed a single user copy at home. I didnt want all my code saying admin so I went to the vault database and changed the name of the admin to my name. Dont laugh.....
I believe everything worked fine. But now I am trying to upgrade vault to version 5.1 and am unable to do so. I get an error saying my password is not correct during installation. I am currently on version 4.1.3. I also noticed that I no longer have admin rights. I used to have admin rights in prior versions despite the name change.
So my name change experiment from long ago has become a bit of a problem. I cant export the data out, I cant upgrade. I went to the sgmaster database and renamed the one user back to admin, well that didnt help either.
Any ideas? I could just keep this version of vault, install 5.1 on another machine and start using that and only switch to the 4.1.3 version if i need old files. A pain but usable. But it would be nice if I could just fix this somehow.
Thanks.

Re: Lost admin access
Did you make a backup before upgrading?
Once we get this sorted out, I'm going to suggest you make an additional user for you to use instead of using admin. The version that allows you one free user means one free regular user, so you can create one for yourself.
