SQL Server 2008 vs 2005

I am currently running Vaut 5.0.3 with Sql Server 2005; we are looking to upgrade to SQL Svr 2008, are there any advantages in terms of Vault (i.e. performance, etc.) if using 2008 vs 2005?

We haven't run any performance comparisons between SQL 2008 and SQL 2005. Any benefits you might receive would be just what Microsoft claims. There's a lot of comparisons available on the internet. I can't confirm or deny the results others received.
