Modifying comments - update

Post by arden_dan » Tue Aug 17, 2004 7:00 am

Hi,

A little while ago there was a thread in Gold Support that turned into a feature request.

This was to allow transaction comments to be modified through the Admin Tool.

Is there any update on this? Is it likely for 2.1?

In the mean time, is it safe for me to modify tbltransactionattrvalues? I can see the row I need to alter, just don't want to if there are going to be repercussions.

Thanks.

As for its priority, we are still considering it for 2.1. Someone else will need to confirm whether it is safe to modify the database row. :)

Modifying the row should have no adverse side effects.

I'm not sure that having the ability in the Admin tool would be enough, since not everyone has access to the Admin tool, and I don't think I want to be editing comments for everyone. Perhaps a checkbox in the admin tool that would allow users to edit their own comments, so that admins who want to allow their users to do this would be able to do so, and those that don't could restrict it.
