Machine name changed - How do I override check out location?

Post by mark.brown » Mon Aug 09, 2004 5:50 pm

I recently had my development machine die (hard drive crash) and had a number of files checked out to a machine that no longer exists (name and working folder paths have changed).

I have recovered the files that were checked out to my working folder...but I need to check these changes back into Vault. How can I overrride the check out status information in vault?

Mark:

Unfortunately, machine name and working folder make up the string which determines where you can check back in. We have feature requests to improve this area in a future version of Vault.

As of Vault 2.0.x client, your only option is to undo the checkout(s) from the admin tool. Afterwards, you can checkout / commit the changes for the new machine / working folders.
