I've been using DiffMerge for a while, but I just noticed today that if I'm comparing two folders, DiffMerge completely ignores any files which have a ".map" extension. If I change the extension of the files to any other random extension (for example ".abc") the files appear in the diff window. I was comparing two folders in which I knew some of the *.map files were different, but DiffMerge said that the two folders were exactly the same.
Is this intentional? How can I use DiffMerge to compare two folders if I need it to include *.map files in the comparison? Thanks.
I'm using version 3.3.0, build 18513 on Windows 7 Pro.
Why are *.map files completely ignored?

Re: Why are *.map files completely ignored?
By default, .map files are filtered out. This setting can be changed in the Diff/Merge tool under Tools->Options->Folder Windows->Folder Filters->File Suffix Filters. Remove map, and it should then show up in your diffs.

Huh, the default list of ignored files is huge.
