My database is getting bigger and I feel its slowing down Vault. I would like to delete old history files of some specific binary file which is ~10 MB. I am using Fortress client version 1.1.3
Thanks for your help.

Re: Delete old history files
There isn't a way to delete just part of history.
A possible work-around would be to get the file to disk somewhere, then delete the file inside Vault (uncheck the option that deletes it from disk too), and then re-add the file to Vault.
How large is your database currently?
The best way to speed up a database is through database maintenance. We have a KB article posted here about it: http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=2924. Also, you might find the KB article on Vault performance helpful: http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=4206
