We recently upgrade our Vault Client to version 4.1.0. As a result, we are getting an error while accessing an entire folder of documents. When clicking on any version to see the document, we get "Permission Denied, or the object no longer exists". I have tried doing this using 2 different user names.
I am able to access this folder and its contents fine when using the Vault Client. The problem occurs only while accessing Vault via the Web.
Please help.
Thanks,
Kanali Dani

Re: Accessing Vault using Web
Since the web client accesses the database directly, it may have a more accurate view of the database. The Vault GUI Client keeps a client side cache of the repository tree. This can become out of date.
You can reset the cache with the following steps: Find the path %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\SourceGear\Vault_1 and delete or rename the entire Vault_1 folder. Next, reset working folders and perform a Get Latest with Do Not Overwrite/MergeLater to re-establish baselines, rebuild the cache files and reset file status.
Now you should see the correct view of the repository.

I have tried the steps you outlined. I still get the same error message.
Re: Accessing Vault using Web
Send me a copy of the Vault Server log that covers the time of these errors. It's called sgvault.log and is in %windir%\temp\sgvault on the server machine. Email support at sourcegear.com, Attn: Linda. Please include a link to this forum post.

I see you're already communicating with one of our other support staff. They'll continue troubleshooting offline.
